The Daggett Law Firm was established in January, 2004, as a spin-off of the environmental practice of a 200-attorney litigation firm, where Mr. Daggett had practiced for over a decade as an Equity Partner in the Litigation Practice Group and a Co-Chair of the firm’s Environmental Practice Group. Mr. Daggett was subsequently granted a license to practice law from the State of Colorado, and now maintains Firm Offices in both the Denver – LoDo area, and in the Chicago Loop.
Mr. Daggett operates the Firm as a solo-practice, so he personally handles all substantive environmental law matters for clients, rather than assigning them to a junior attorney to prepare for his review. Where appropriate, the Firm works with clients to also retain local counsel, contract attorneys or paralegals to perform tasks that do not involve substantive environmental law issues. In other cases, the client’s general or litigation law firm retains the lead, and has its client also retain the Daggett Law Firm to handle the environmental law aspects of a law suit or real estate transaction, or to consult on environmental matters.
The Daggett Law Firm and Mr. Daggett achieved the highest rating for legal ability of “AV- Preeminent” (5/5) by Martindale-Hubbell, Inc., based upon their confidential survey of other environmental lawyers, including ones he has opposed in litigation. The Firm is also a members of the Leading Lawyers Network, an invitation only network of lawyers that have been nominated for recognition by other prominent attorneys who are competitors of the nominee in their field of practice. The Leading Lawyers Network publishes a biography of Mr. Daggett and the professional accomplishments that led to his nomination to the Network on their website; click on “biography,” above, to see it, or paste http://www.leadinglawyers.com/atty_profile.cfm?TOCUID=1004476 into your internet browser.
